Frequently Asked Questions

What is Shotcrete?

There are two methods for producing unique concrete pool shells, both of which entail "shooting" concrete from a hose at a high rate of speed:

1-"Wet shotcrete" (also known as shotcrete) is factory-mixed wet concrete that is supplied by a concrete truck to an on-site concrete pump.
2-"Dry shotcrete" (also known as gunite) is made of Portland cement and aggregate that is transported by compressed air to a spray gun's nozzle before water is added. After being sprayed in position, the wet mixture can almost immediately be sculpted or troweled.

Gunite is used at DeepWater Pools because it outperforms shotcrete in strength, with a compressive strength of up to 9,500 psi.

What are the advantages of cement pools?

Customizable

Concrete has a lot of customization options, which is its main benefit. Concrete pools enable you to tailor their size, form, and any additional features you may require. Use this function and let us create a custom pool for you!

Durable

Like fibreglass, concrete pools are incredibly durable. The structure of the pool won't be harmed by sharp items, which is a drawback of vinyl liners.

Attractive

Besides attractive, concrete gives pools a traditional aspect. You won't have to be concerned about a liner bubbling or separating, and if you maintain your concrete pool, you can keep algae and stains to a minimum.

what is Marbelite?

Marbelite is a cementitious mixture created for coating new or existing concrete, turning basic, unadorned concrete into a lovely, useful surface. You can keep it white, add a colour, or give Marbelite finishes a quartz or glass bead finish. Marbelite has waterproof additives and quick hardeners because it is made of a blend of white cement, marble chippings, and marble dust.
